♫SCHOOOLLSS OUT FOR THE SUMMER♫

Today, something amazing happened to me. MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! WOOHOO! Aaaand I survived this year with relatively good grades! Now I'll probably be on Transformice and this blog even more than I usually am.. which is a lot. And I'm sorry, I'm still working on the blog theme :( And I definitely owe a theme to Shrinky and Fruity. They're always busting their asses making this blog pretty. Now it's my turn! Every time I try to make the banner look cool it ends up looking lame. But now I can stay up late working on it without stressing about school the next day! Enough about me.. did anyone else get out of school yet? Yes? No? Hopefully. If you still aren't out.. may you find the strength to get through these last horrible, agonizing days of school.

By the way.. anyone remember the song "California girls" by Katy Perry? I heard it not too long ago and realized I totally forgot about it. I think I'm going to be putting that on the playlist because as old as it is.. it's a really cute, fun song and perfect for this time of year.

So today, I went to Philly with some friends. We were walking around, just watching the crazy hobos talking to themselves, eating some good food, feeding a bunch of insane pigeons, admiring peoples' artwork that they were selling on the streets, etc. etc. There was this one guy mixing some really good hip hop music so I went over to him and asked him if he had a Myspace or something where I could listen to his music. He told me this website that links to his Youtube, so I did. If anyone wants some new GOOD music on their iPod, you should really check out his channel. Yeah, it's Hip Hop, and Hip Hop requires an acquired taste, but it's reallly good. 

Apparently, 3 of his songs were on Jersey shore and he's coming out with a song with Snoop Dogg. My favorite song is probably this one.

Eh, not the best picture of him but whatever. I feel like he has pretty good potential, so by reading this post and checking him out before everyone else does, you can say "Oh him? Yeah I knew about him when he was still underground." when he gets popular.

Also.. here is a picture of me on the subway with a wolf mask on. I purchased it at some weird artsy store for 5 dollars. Walking around and seeing peoples' reactions was priceless.

Im sure most of you have heard of Flo Rida's hit single "Good Feeling." Before you people start saying "YEAH THAT'S MY JAM," let me educate you.

Flo Rida sucks. That song was first remixed by Avicii, an amazing DJ, and he just added some stupid rapping to it. Have you noticed  how he always needs other artists in his songs for them to be popular? I consider him a Disney-level rapper. Enough said.

So the American Music Awards was last night and HOW IN THE WORLD DID TAYLOR SWIFT WIN ARTIST OF THE YEAR?!?!?!?!

Are you serious? She hasn't done ANYTHING this year! Like seriously, WHERE HAS SHE BEEN? Let's look at her competition:

Lady GaGa-Yeahhh 80% of your new album sucked

Adele-2 hits this year! Yes, kinda deserved it!

Lil Wayne-"How to Love" wasn't that great. You haven't done much this year either

Katy Perry-5 singles from one album. Although her songs can get annoying after awhile, they were hella catchy when they first came out!

So yeah Adele or Katy should've won. NOT TAYLOR SWIFT! I'm sorry but I'm just pretty upset about this. If she's artist of the year, then this has been one shitty year for music. Who do you think should've won?

So, about a week ago I heard a new song on the radio.

I loved it, but I didn't know what the title is. I soon figured out what it was by my lifesaver, Youtube.

This is my favorite song! I don't know what about it is so great.. but it's honestly super dancey.

So the music video is basicly about Alexandra as a prisoner. As she tries to flirt with the guards so that they let her go. Well, it worked. She got the guard locked up instead of her. She dresses up like a guard, and duct tapes the other guards mouths and tapes them to the desk. She then ends up escaping, just like she wanted. Yup. Although, I always thought the music video would take place in a club.. instead of prison? Romanian music video, how should I know.

Creeeeepy...

Most of you have heard the song Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. It's a really good song...if you haven't LISTENED to the lyrics. It's a creepy ass song with creepy ass lyrics. Here is a short summary on what the song is talking about.

This song is about a boy named Robert, who is a deeply troubled kid. The first verse is talking about him finding a gun in his dad's closet. He's dressed out kinda like a cowboy and enjoys planning his murders. 

In the chorus it talks about him kind of toying with the victims, telling them to run with their pumped up kicks. (Now pumped up kicks were a reebok brand that "popular" kids wore back in the day. Some fancy basketball player won the game, while wearing these shoes and supposedly, it gave him a boost in running and jumping) So basically, he's mocking them by telling them to try to outrun his bullets with their fancy new shoes. Basically, he kills anyone with nice clothes for some disturbing reason. 

In the second verse it's talking about him waiting for his dad to come home. Now he was abused by his dad and he's sitting down, enjoying the moment before he kills him. It talks about "dinner in the kitchen and it's packed in ice." This means his dad is neglecting him and won't feed him. Finally, he kills his dad and it goes back to the chorus.

Personally, I still like the song, but yanno..some people (fruity) think it's creepy as hell and refuses to listen to it. I agree though, it's creepy, but a good song. If you people still enjoy the song, here's the download link to it.

I love the chorus of this song! Its one of those rap songs with catchy choruses like Nothing on You or Love the Way you Lie. I heard it on some ghetto radio station in California. This was the 1 song that caught my attention.

What happens on the Dancefloor- Cobra Starship ft. Alexandra Burke

Crabs showed this song to us. THANK U CRABS! The beat is sooo sick!! I had the song for like 3 days and it already made it to the most played songs on my ipod. That says alot, considering I never leave my ipod.

So yeah...download the songs if you know what's best for you! It should go straight to your itunes after you download it. The info on it mite be wrong when it's downloaded. Just right click the song and edit the info :)

Shiz went down last nite

Last nite was the VMAs! A bunch of amazing artists performed :D Here were the highlights of the nite:

Cobra Starship & Sabi kick off the VMAs by singing their hit single 'You Make Me Feel.' They were pretty good live! I honestly thought they would screw up alot of notes. Guess I underestimated them :0

Mother Monster won 2 awards! :D Of course, everyone wants to know what she wore. It gets crazier and crazier every year. As if the meat outfit wasn't crazy enough...she came in with this....

IK IK, totally unexpected! Nonetheless, we'll support GaGa all the way! Cus baby she was born this way! Heheheh! I'm pretty sure she fell while trying to jump down the piano cus she was so excited haha ♡ She performed her song 'You and I' with such passion :') WE LOVE YOU GAGA!!!

Katy Perry didn't perform (Thank God!) considering she's so horrible live. Did she honestly think she could top GaGa's outfit?

LMAOOOOO when I saw the cube on her head, I pointed at the screen and laughed. It's just chillin on her head like...derp. She won an award for her song 'Firework' so congrats Katy! (Even tho that song is ridiculously annoying now due to the fact that radios won't stop playing it)

Nicki Minaj won best hip-hop artist...I think? I know for sure she was in the category for hip-hop. Well done :) She deserved it! I loved her outfit too! It says NICKI MINAJ all over it!

Jessie J. had a leg injury, yet performed like a trooper! Just throw some glitter on your boot and BAM!

I'm upset MTV didn't let us see her entire performance. I can honestly say she was the best singer of the nite! Did you hear the way she sang Firework? It was better than Katy Perry's album version! This woman deserves an award!

Chris Brown, you be trippin'. Son please, you were obviously lip syncing. Fortunately, he was blessed with INCREDIBLE dancing skillz. It made up for his 'singing' ;)

YEAHHH YEAH YEAH

The VMAs presented a tribute to Britney Spears that brought her to tears :')
